Delta Authors on Tour is a key program under the sorority’s National Commission on Arts and Letters. The Mission of the Arts and Letters Committee is to promote a positive image of African Americans and other minorities through the medium of music, dance, drama, and poetry.

About the event
The Greenville (SC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is pleased to announce the South Atlantic Region’s Delta Authors on Tour. This is a signature event developed by the Sorority’s National Arts and Letters Commission to promote the literary talent of Delta authors within its sisterhood.
Please join us Saturday, March 20, 2021 as we host “The REaD Shoe Book Event” featuring twelve authors from the three states of the South Atlantic Region: North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. This public virtual event is $13 and will include meeting the authors, an interactive discussion of their books, book sales, and entertainment.
All proceeds from this spectacular event will benefit the Phillis Wheatley Community Center in Greenville. For 100 years, this center has played a vital role in developing the social, economic, education, leadership, and artistic skills of Greenville’s underserved communities. They are committed to their mission of collaborating with community partners to provide the tools and resources to empower all individuals.
